Laramie officially joined my group Fall of 2016, though he had already attended the 2016 Data Science Days that the Analysis+Data Group organized in April of the same year. He graduated with his PhD in the summer of 2018, with a dissertation that is talked about here. Subsequently he spent a year as a postdoc at WSU and was then offered a tenture track position at Marian University in Wisconsin, a position he held for a number of years until he decided to become a freelance educator. He still resides in Wisconsin, where he enjoys living on a small farm in a rural setting.
