Connect to `baikal` from Windows

Software to establish a graphical session on baikal is installed by default. It is called Remote Desktop Connection - either search for it by typing it in the Start Menu, or locate it in the Accessories menu. The only required configuratio n is to enter baikal.math.wsu.edu in the computer field.

Tranferring files requires a small SFTP client. Download

WinSCP.exe

and save it to a convenient location. It requires no installation. TODO: Finish the configuration instructions.

Connect to `baikal` from Mac

The preferred method for starting a graphical session is to use Remote Desktop. Two clients are available for Mac (CoRD is probably the better choice):

Alternatively, the built in SSH client can also do graphical sessions. The command is:
