Books to Read Through
- "Riemannian Geometry" By Manfredo do Carmo
After reading through Lee's Smooth Manifolds text I have become deeply fascinated by differential geometry. I would like a more foundational knowledge of curvature and other important topics related to analysis in metric spaces.

- The Six Volume Tome: "Quantum Field Theory" by Eberhard Zeidler
- "Quantum Field Theory: A Tourist Guide for Mathematicians" by Gerald Folland
Historically there was little distinction between mathematical analysis and physics. These two vase fields have evolved to the point that researchers in each have tremendous difficulty connecting the fields together. I believe (perhaps naively) that mathematicians have much to gain from physical thinking and hope to peruse through these books as well as some others I happen to come across.

- "An Invitation to Algebraic Geometry" by Smith, Kahanpaa, Kekalainen, and Traves
Training to become an analyst leaves little time to study other interests. I am particularly interested in this text on Algebraic Geometry because it grew out of a set of rough notes for a series of ten two-hour lectures entitled "Algebraic Geometry for Analysts".
